My friend Lisette asked us if we wanted to participate, and that’s all it took! 4 of us took the challenge (Lisette, Kyle, Hugo, and me), 2 of us didn’t make it (including yours truly), but we had an amazing time on a beautiful day in Crowsnest Pass.
Fun fact: Lisette is the best dentist in Crowsnest Pass.
The Low 5 is a nod to the High 5. The High 5 is taking on 5 major peaks here in Crowsnest Pass (Turtle True Summit, Coulthard, Tecumseh, Bluff, and Crowsnest). The Low 5 included a couple of the same and a few different mountains:
Turtle False Summit
Pass Powderkeg
Saddle (Big Bear)
Saskatoon
Bluff

We had an awesome crew all day, we were so spoiled! Sheena, Andy, and Jason took care of us out there while we were on route. The route Lisette took us on to complete these 5 mountains was about 54km and 3200m of vert. It was an amazing day for it and we had a great time (apart from falling while taking a video, which ultimately led to my DNF lol). I mean, I couldn’t have shared all of this if I wasn’t taking photos/videos, so it was worth it, right?
Even though my big race was cancelled this year, I have had such an awesome season. It’s days like these that make me grateful for good friends and a body that lets me travel to these amazing places (unless I screw it up hahaha).
How was your summer? Do you have some new favourite memories? I hope you’ve loved your trail time as I have, feel free to share in the comments!
Happy last few days of summer friends. Onwards and upwards. LFG

Great pics and videos. The summer has been an amazing opportunity of meeting people and sharing stories and laughs.
Our run club tour was / is one of the best ideas we’ve had.
Good times! :)
